I want to give you some informations about the banggai,bangkurung islands in centre sulawesi. Banggai archipelago is made of many small and big islands, roughly 75 islands. Some are inhabited like Banggai,Bangkurung, Peling and Labobo island with many villages. Some are uninhabited, used only for coconut farming like Galula and Tolobundu. Some are just coral reef with stilt houses built on top like Mandeboolu reef. All those islands are mostly populated with ethnic Banggai and Bajau who use the sea and the reef for living.

For almost ten years now, Papa Sarah and Mama Sarah are welcoming tourists in our family house in Lala village on Bangkurung island.
